Red ribbon, red ribbon

Pull me apart
like a ribbon
with frayed ends,
unravel me
all the way to the top,
leave me tangled and messy;
just do it with a smile
and blurry eyes,
like you always do.
Take me far away
just to bring me back
empty handed.
It's easier when our cheeks are red
from reeking of alcohol,
not shame.
I won't convince you otherwise.
